The Artist & the State Symposium was held at IMMA on 26th November 2016, and included artists and critics reflecting on global and local relations between the artist and the idea, and reality, of the state. I was delighted to be able to talk about Sven Augustijnen’s ongoing exhibition at Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane.
