Clare Langan |Illuminations

Clare Langan’s work is sublime, ethereal and intensely imagined. Whether focusing intently on one small natural phenomenon or replicating the evolutionary time of landscapes, Langan’s work enters the points at which human perception and the material, physical, changing world meet.

Clare Langan’s commission for the new Eolas building at Maynooth University is celebrated with this exhibition of of her work, focusing on the processes which lead to the two new pieces in Eolas – ‘River’ and ‘Waterfall’. The exhibition includes Clare’s first imaginings of the work in the building and photographic records of her trip to Iceland to make ‘Waterfall’. Two earlier film works are also included.

Clare Langan at Illuminations runs from 5th to 16th October 2015.
