Sarah Tuck’s book After the Agreement: Contemporary Photography in Northern Ireland, has just been published. Its chapters are transcriptions of roundtable discussions between photographers and invited participants. I very much enjoyed reading again the conversations we had on the day on which Paul Seawright and Malcolm Craig Gilbert were the photographers talking about their work. Paul Seawright was, as always, incisive and intelligent about his photography. And it was a privilege to hear Malcolm Craig Gilbert talk with such raw honesty about his life and work.
Other participating photographers include John Duncan, Mary McIntyre, David Farrell and Kai Olaf Hesse.
