The Nordic Irish Studies Network conference is in Aalborg, Denmark next week, hosted by Aalborg University and on the topic of ‘Ireland and the Popular’. I’ll be giving the opening plenary lecture on 7 May, talking about dwelling, the vernacular and art and literature in Northern Ireland. If you happen to be passing by Aalborg, do join us. I’m very much looking forward to visiting what looks like a lovely city, with, amongst other attractions, the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art, designed by Alvar Aalto.
The conference website is here.
