The new issue of Source is devoted to ‘Photography and Literature’ and in a short piece entitled ‘How Fictional Are Photographs?’ I consider the relation between the two, and the collapsing dichotomy of the moment and the story which characterises both genres. Look out also for the forthcoming Source films on photography and literature, including one to be released in September in which I discuss modernist writing and photography.
Also in this issue of Source Declan Long reviews the exhibition of Northern Ireland: 30 Years of Photography.
