‘”Indebted for their existence to the inessential: On Three Irish Artists’ has just been published in Viewpoints, edited by Claire Bracken and Emma Radley (Cork University Press). The essay discusses the issue of identity, woven through a consideration of a section of Adorno’s Minima Moralia, in the work of Joe Duggan, Hannah Starkey and John Gerrard.
